OUR MINISTRY
WHO WE ARE
OUR VERSE: “therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to him (2 Cor. 5:9).
OUR NAME: We choose the name Active In Missions Today, Myanmar (AIMTODAY) to represent our ministry.
OUR VISION: Our vision is to see that there are Antioch-type churches established among all people groups in Myanmar regardless of the locations and races through the ministry of AIMTODAY as we partner with Christ in the building of His churches.
OUR PURPOSE: The main purpose of AIMTODAY is to serve the peoples in our land and to join Christ in the building of His churches by sending and assisting those whom Hecalled already to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to plant His churches.AIMTODAY will continue to exist “…for our people and for the cities of our God…”(2 Samuel 10:12).
OUR MISSION: Our mission, as a church and mission organization, is to glorify God by carrying out the Great Commission, which is to go and make disciples of all nations (all peoples groups) and this is best accomplished as we reach others through relationship and with the love of God and by equipping the saints and releasing them for the work of ministry according to the teaching of the Bible.
OUR STRATEGY: We are convinced that we can best accomplish the Great Commission by first equipping the saints at home and other believers followed by releasing and supporting. We will continue to partner with those indigenous key leaders who have been involved in the ministry through training and loving relationship.
We will always seek God to help us identify where He is at works and we will also lookfor key leaders from various location, who are teachable in spirit, biblically sound in doctrine and who are passionate about reaching the lost with the love of God and planting churches through preaching and teaching the word of God.
LEADERSHIP: AIMTODAY will be under the authority of the Scripture in doctrines and in conducts and yet will be under the leadership of Yangon Grace Bible Fellowship (local). AIMTODAY’s executive members serve as helpers taking variety of positions.
OUR TEACHINGS
We believe:
In the total inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures; that the Bible reveals God, his divine nature, the fall of man, the way to receive salvation, and God's plan and purpose in the past, present, and in eternity.
In the Holy Trinity--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
In the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That salvation is by Grace. That the conditions to salvation are repentance and faith. That people are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In the everlasting, conscious reward for the saved and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost.
In the visible, personal, and premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ.We further believe that it is taking place very soon.
That the New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers who are covenanted together to make disciples, baptize and teach them Christian principles.
In the ordinance of baptism by immersion of the believer in water, by the authority of the local church, to show the death and burial of the old life, and resurrection to walk in the new life of the Christian.
In the Lord's Supper as an ordinance to be observed by the local church in the church's capacity to show forth the central importance of the Lord's death, Resurrection and Second Coming.
In the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally and not allegorically or figuratively. That God created all life forms and established divine law that all things shall bring forth only �after their own kind.�
In the biblical description of the existence of Satan, the adversarial spirit, who acts as tempter and accuser and who is an enemy of the work of God in Creation and human affairs.
